Internet is an almost inexhaustible source of information and entertainment. Among the many things one can find are videos from YouTube, MetaCafe and other sites. Typically, these videos are in Flash (.flv) format, and thus cannot be easily downloaded and kept. This program allows you to do exactly this: download your favorite Flash videos and keep them in your computer, so you can convert them to another format to burn them into a DVD or upload them in your portable video device. The program's interface is very simple. You only need to copy the video's URL into the appropriate box, hit the arrow button at right, and the program will open the Internet page hosting the video. Then, a dialog box will appear, showing you the video's URL, the name of the folder where the downloaded video will be saved, and the file name. You can change any of these parameters according to your needs. When clicking on the OK button, the program will start downloading the file automatically. You can use the trial version during 16 days without restrictions. If you find the program useful and intend to keep using it, then you will need to purchase a license.
- In the trial version, the resulting file appears with the ".85&" extension, which makes it impossible to open
- There are free programs that allow users to do basically the same
